Extra bus services

Additional journeys during off-peak hours and in the peripheries

From mid-June, bus services will be increased in many parts of South Tyrol – especially in the mornings, evenings and on Sundays and public holidays. Plus, some bus stops outside Bolzano/Bozen train station will change location.

As laid out in the provincial government’s new Mobility Plan, a first step towards improved mobility will be to better integrate the peripheries into the public transport network and to optimise services and connections outside of peak travelling hours.

Starting on 17 June, this will apply to Citybus services 122, 123 and 124 in Bassa Atesina/Unterland and to Citybus services 135.3, 135.4 and 135.5 in Oltradige/Überetsch. During the summer months, extra journeys will also be added along the 139 route (Appiano/Eppan – Monticolo/Montiggl) to provide a continuous service every day of the week, with buses running every 30 minutes between 9:00 and 19:00. Furthermore, there will be a significant increase in services to and from Favogna/Fennberg, making it accessible all year round with two daily trips each way – plus two more trips on summer-time weekends.

On Sundays and public holidays, additional earlier trips will be available on line 127 serving Cauria/Gfrill and Pochi/Buchholz in the catchment of Salorno/Salurn.

On route 246 (Fondo – Passo Palade/Gampenpass – Lana – Merano/Meran), from 19 June hourly services will be introduced on weekdays and a service every two hours on Sundays and public holidays, with buses running via Stazione di Lana-Postal/Bahnhof Lana-Burgstall.

On Sundays and public holidays, there will now also be services along routes 278 (Malles/Mals – Mazia/Matsch) and 279 (Malles/Mals – Clusio/Schleis – Laudes/Laatsch – Malles/Mals).

From 19 June, additional journeys will be provided on route 350, with services running between Ortisei/St. Ulrich and Selva Gardena/Wolkenstein in the morning, and between Selva Gardena/Wolkenstein and Ortisei/St. Ulrich in the evening. Hourly services will be available on route 176 (Siusi/Seis – Tires/Tiers). Please note that the departure times will change by about 30 minutes.

From 17 June, buses marked 422 will serve two destinations, alternating between Falzes di Sopra/Oberpfalzen and Lago d’Issengo/Issinger Weiher. Please note that until early October, buses marked 446 (Dobbiaco/Toblach – San Candido/Innichen – Sesto/Sexten – Passo Monte Croce/Kreuzbergpass) will no longer stop at Val Fiscalina/Fischleintal, where a separate service (440) with different fares will be in place instead.

During the summer months, route 339 services (S. Pietro/St. Peter – Passo Erbe/Würzjoch) will run every 30 minutes and route 464 direct services (Piccolino/Pikolein and Passo Erbe/Würzjoch) every hour.

Bolzano/Bozen train station: bus stops relocated

Due to construction works along Via Renon/Rittner Straße, from 19 June no buses will stop at platform F outside Bolzano/Bozen train station. The changes are expected to remain in force until early September. Please see the site map to find out where the buses in question will stop instead.
