Bike&Bus

The bike-friendly bus network

To encourage intermodal travel within the region, a regular bus service with bike trailers for the limited transport of up to 5-6 bicycles is offered from spring to autumn.

Buses with bike traileers can be found on the following services:

  • Service 273 Mals/Malles – Landeck;
  • Service 245 Meran/Merano – Lana – Ulten/Val d'Ultimo;
  • Service 184 Weißenstein/Pietralba – Obereggen – Karerpass/Passo Costalunga;
  • Service 189 Jochgrimm/Passo Oclini – Petersberg/Monte S. Pietro – Bozen/Bolzano;
  • Service 321 Brixen/Bressanone – St. Andrä/S. Andrea – Plose;
  • Service 445 Toblach/Dobbiaco – Cortina.

How can I tell if a bus can carry bicycles?

If a bus stop has a bicycle symbol on the timetable, it means that the bus is equipped to carry bicycles.

There is no provision for the transport of electric bikes. The only exception are the buses on the service 273 Mals/Malles- Landeck, which are equipped with bicycle trailers.

Good to know:

To transport your bike on the bus, you will need an additional ticket, which is available at authorised ticket offices and via the südtirolmobil app.
