The system in use for claiming the annual “commuter compensation” travel grant is currently being revised. As a consequence, online applications can only be submitted at a later stage this year.
Every year, passengers who have no or only very inconvenient bus and train connections on their way to and from work can apply for a travel subsidy granted by the South Tyrol government. Normally, online applications can be submitted from mid-January. At the moment, however, the system is being technically overhauled – with the aim of making processing more user-friendly and revising some of the criteria.
As the Provincial Government’s Mobility Department recently announced, submitting applications for the year 2021 will therefore only be possible at a later point this year. The date will be published in good time. Watch this space!
