Crossing borders with the app

The südtirolmobil app now speaks two languages

The opening of the Landeck-Malles bus line in December 2023 was a first step towards the realisation of connections between Tyrol and South Tyrol. Today, another step is being taken towards the integration of cross-border mobility systems.

In order to strengthen the interaction between digital information systems and to promote the exchange of real-time data with our Austrian neighbours, the Austrian mobility service provider VVT has made it possible to integrate its digital system into the südtirolmobil app.

This combination of information systems is a major advantage for travellers: they can now check the status of buses, delays and possible cancellations on the 273 Landeck-Malles and 210 Landeck-Nauders lines in real time on their smartphones, and find connections and timetables for the various cross-border routes on the app.

On buses, however, the ticketing system used in the südtirolmobil integrated transport network is not yet available. We would therefore like to remind travellers with the Südtirol Pass to check in online and validate it with the app (for the Südtirol Pass 65+, abo+, Euregio Ticket Students and free are valid as sight documents). Alternatively, single tickets can be purchased on the bus.

Further information can be found on the website under Live Updates > Line 273 Landeck-Nauders-Reschen/Resia-Malles/Mals.
