Due to a series of extensive construction and maintenance works, there will be lengthy interruptions to rail traffic in the Pusteria/Pustertal valley over the course of the coming days.
From Saturday 30 October until the end of Saturday 06 November, the tracks between San Candido/Innichen and Brunico/Bruneck will remain closed: All trains will be suspended and rail replacement services will be provided. For operational reasons, individual trains running between Brunico/Bruneck and Fortezza/Franzensfeste will also be cancelled and replaced by bus services. Please note that it is not possible to transport bicycles on replacement buses.
New route for replacement buses: In Brunico/Bruneck, rail replacement buses will stop only outside the train station (Via Marconi/Marconistraße) and Tschurtschenthaler park, with services taking the new exit Brunico Centro/Bruneck Mitte and running along Via Riscone/Reischacher Straße. This is to shorten the journey and ensure that passengers make their connection.
The reason for the closure, which will last several days, is preparatory work for the construction of a new bridge near Valdaora/Olang, which is scheduled to be completed next year.
To reduce the inconvenience for passengers as much as possible, the works will be carried out during the first week of November, a school holiday.

This means that during 6:30 and 13:30, all trains between San Candido/Innichen and Fortezza/Franzensfeste will be suspended and replaced by bus services.
