südtirolmobil: your one-stop shop for public transport in South Tyrol

Growing user numbers both on the website and the app

It’s by now impossible to imagine everyday mobility without it: Each day, the südtirolmobil website and app register an average of 50,000 queries regarding departures and arrival times – and on peak days, that number goes up to more than 70,000.

Exactly two years ago, we first launched our mobility app together with our newly designed website. Since then, südtirolmobil has seen a steady increase of users and hits, and we have made every effort to continuously improve and expand the information and services offered – not least thanks to the many suggestions and ideas submitted by you, our users.

Up to date and ready to go: our app

By now, südtirolmobil is firmly established as the number one address for information on public mobility throughout all of South Tyrol: In the last twelve months, the app alone has been accessed more than 6.7 million times by a total of 218,000 users. It is our online journey planner, though, that has seen by far the highest number of users. Even a few initial sceptics have by now learnt to appreciate our online features and services, and many older passengers have also successfully ventured into using the app.

Our push notifications in particular – a fast and efficient service to inform our users about news regarding their favourite stops and lines – are used by a large number of passengers: A whopping 3.3 million push notifications have kept our users up to speed in the last 12 months.

The future lies in mobile ticketing

With the launch of an online check-in service for Südtirol Pass tickets and the recent addition of Nightliner tickets to the online ticket shop, südtirolmobil has taken its first steps towards mobile ticketing. In only a few months’ time, a significant portion of südtirolmobil tickets will be available to buy online. For our passengers, that means maximum flexibility in using public transport, plus a high level of independence from ticket machines and check-in validation devices.

südtirolmobil website: timetables still a big hit

Our website, too, gets plenty of visitors: On average, it records some 7,500 hits per day, and almost 1.2 million people have accessed it more than 2.7 million times in the last 12 months. The greatest visitor magnet, however, are our tried-and-tested PDF timetables: always up-to-date, easy to use and therefore still very helpful, as time has shown.

One platform for all Südtirol Pass online services

With the Südtirol Pass portal, the website also offers a customised platform containing the full range of online services available for Südtirol Pass and other subscription-based public transport tickets. Each month, the Südtirol Pass portal records between 30,000 and 40,000 log-ins. And every autumn, there is a real run on the website – as soon as the start of the new school year approaches and with it the time to apply for or renew the approximately 70,000 abo+ subscriptions online.

Whatever it is that brings you to us: We will always be happy to assist and accompany you on your journey – and keep you as mobile and well informed as we possibly can.
