Two smartphones with the südtirolmobil app

südtirolmobil app

A service gaining ground and features

The südtirolmobil app is currently installed on some 200,000 smartphones. And with mobile ticketing and a series of new features, it keeps conquering new terrain.

If there’s one thing that südtirolmobil cannot complain about, it’s a lack of users: The vast majority of its – on average – 60,000 timetable queries recorded per day come through the app. And on peak days, such as Easter 2023, that number can quickly go up to more than 80,000 queries a day. Which is why our developers work tirelessly to optimise the app and – also thanks to suggestions from you, our users – introduce new features to make it even more convenient to use. Here are the latest innovations at a glance:

Share your connection

You have just selected a bus or train journey in our online journey planner and would now like to let someone know about it? Simply tap the three dots in the top left-hand corner and click on Share connection to forward your departure time, directions and any other relevant information to anyone you’d like to. You can share this info via e-mail, WhatsApp and many other channels and apps.

Set up favourites: stops or connections

Got a regular stop or a travel route that you use frequently? One click in your journey planner and you can save any departure point or route among your favourites. That way, you won’t have to type it in every time you use the journey planner to search for a connection.

Filter for live updates

With more than 200 bus routes, 4 railway lines, 5000 stops, suspensions for closures, strikes and re-routing, the latest news can sometimes add up quickly. For a more targeted search and a faster overview, you can now pre-determine which news you’d like to receive – and filter them by topic, relevant time periods or priorities.

Mobile ticketing: flexible and convenient

Smartphones are an easy way to plan a journey by bus or train and quickly get your hands on an online ticket. Single tickets, day passes or Mobilcards – with mobile ticketing, you no longer need ticket vending machines or validation devices. For those travelling without a Südtirol Pass or other subscription-based ticket, it’s without doubt the most convenient way to find the right ticket and use public transport throughout South Tyrol.
